Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Kernel Atlas uses on our website, and how you can control them. We keep this explanation straightforward so you know exactly what is happening when you visit our site.
01
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are stored in your browser and sent back to the website on your next visit, allowing the site to remember information about you or your session.
Cookies serve several practical purposes: they keep you logged in, remember your preferences, help us understand how visitors use the site, and in some cases allow advertising networks to show relevant adverts. Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies); others are set by third-party services that appear on the page.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot run code on your device. They contain only the text data that was written to them and can only be read by the domain that set them.
02
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always active — cannot be disabled
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They enable core features like your consent preference record and session continuity. The site cannot work properly without them.
Examples: cookieConsent (consent record), session identifiers
Analytics Cookies
Optional
These cookies help us understand how visitors navigate the site — which pages are visited most, how long sessions last, and where visitors come from. We use this information to improve the course content pages and overall site structure.
Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid), page view counters
Marketing Cookies
Optional
Marketing cookies are used by advertising platforms to build a profile of your interests and show relevant adverts on other sites. They track your visits across websites. If you disable these, you may still see adverts — they just will not be personalised based on your browsing.
Examples: Facebook Pixel (_fbp), Bing UET, Google Ads conversion
Preference Cookies
Optional
Preference cookies remember choices you make on the site — such as your preferred language or display settings — so you do not have to set them again on your next visit.
Examples: Language preference, display settings
03
Your Cookie Preferences
Use the toggles above to set your preferences, then save them below. You can also accept all optional cookies at once or reject all non-essential cookies.
04
Third-Party Cookies
When you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, certain third-party services may also set cookies on your device. These services have their own privacy policies:
-
Google Analytics & Google Ads
Used for site usage analysis and conversion tracking. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com.
-
Meta Pixel (Facebook)
Used for marketing attribution. Meta's data policy is available at facebook.com/privacy.
-
Microsoft Bing UET
Used for campaign measurement. Microsoft's privacy statement is available at privacy.microsoft.com.
05
Cookie Duration
Session Cookies
These exist only while your browser is open. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser tab or window. No information is stored after the session ends.
Persistent Cookies
These remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Our consent cookie lasts 12 months. Analytics cookies typically expire after 13 months. Marketing cookies vary by provider, typically 90 days to 2 years.
